The Salt Archive
A cinematic trailer concept for a coastal literary thriller, built around atmosphere rather than plot summary.

01 — The opportunity
Thriller readers decide quickly. A trailer that explains the plot gives them a reason to stop watching. The opportunity was to sell the feeling of the book in the first five seconds.
02 — Creative direction
Cold, desaturated grading, slow push-ins and sparse typography. Every shot implies a secret without revealing it, so the viewer leaves with a question the book answers.
03 — Production
Storyboarded in six beats, cut to a 45-second master with vertical 15-second edits for short-form platforms and a silent, captioned version for feeds.
04 — Outcome
A concept exploring how a quiet, atmospheric book can be promoted with tension instead of volume. Shared to demonstrate approach only.
